Featuring:
🍽️An intimate multi-course and family style dinner highlighting flavors from the Horn of Africa to the Pacific Ring of Fire. Expect Ethiopian spices and Filipino flavor. A Drink Pairing menu will be included with the meal.
🥑*To honor the food selection served at Ebony, this dinner will be vegan and gluten-free. The dinner will highlight a vegetable & fruit focused menu with produce sourced directly from local farmers in the central coast.*
🎵The night transitions to the patio as dj @livn_rm_show_lbc traverses the globe with his selections from the 70s to present day sounds from Sub-saharan Africa to Brazil with a strong affinity to Turkish Psych and Arabic Funk.
☕️Sosi will be guiding us to a Coffee Ceremony, brewing buna throughout the night as the Arab Music Ensemble takes the stage.
🪕Featuring Dr. Ken Habib, professor of Ethnomusicology, and Chamber of the Cal Poly Arab Music Ensemble, the ensemble’s repertoire includes pieces from the Ottoman empire to the present. It highlights music from arabic-speaking societies where the music intersects with folk and spiritual traditions.
